The condition of our hearts and minds directly influences our actions. When our private thoughts and public actions don't line up, we live a life of duplicity. We might be able to fool ourselves and others sometimes, but we can't fool God any of the time. We have to be very intentional about having integrity between our actions and our thinking, our private and public lives. Our minds and imagination are a battlefield, but through God's grace, we can have control. What do we look at? What do we dream and fantasize about? Scripture tells us to capture every thought, make it obedient to Christ, and set our hearts on what's above, where Christ is.
