In New Zealand, an estimated 8,000 people are trapped in modern slavery, part of a global crisis affecting around 50 million people. This includes forced labor, forced marriage, and human trafficking. Rebecca Armstrong, Head of Advocacy and Justice for International Partnerships at World Vision, joins Rhema Afternoons to challenge how our purchases contribute to this issue and to discuss the push for enacting a modern slavery law.
