Getting betrayed hurts. When Joseph's brothers betrayed him, he did not let the bitterness of the experience get the better of him. He kept on trusting in the goodness of the Lord. Forgiving others is not easy, but forgiveness is God's antidote to bitterness. When we start to trust God and seek comfort in His presence, like Joseph did, we can learn how to forgive, break free from the chains of bitterness, and embark on a journey towards healing.
