Paul states that we are dead to the law and also dead to sin. We have been forgiven and justified, but how do we live our lives now? God accepts us as we are but does not leave us as we are. The beautiful thing about the relationship with the living God is that He will always see us as His children, who are loved unconditionally because of the death of Jesus and the gift of grace to us. Through the ongoing process of sanctification, He will restore and rebuild us step by step.
