God cannot stand sin. Individual sin not only destroys personal lives but also affects communities. In the book of Joshua, we see how Achan allowed the seeds of dissatisfaction to grow into the sin of disobedience that led to defeat and loss for the Israelites. He broke the covenant with God by coveting what he thought he was entitled to. God wants to build a people, not just a person. He's calling us into a community of faith where we can lean on each other for strength to help solve our common problem of sin.
